Bridal fashion shoot at The Retreat at French's Point
We recently orchestrated a day long bridal fashion shoot in Mid Coast Maine at The Retreat at French's Point. We had beautiful gowns from Madeline's Daughter in Portsmouth, New Hampshire and Amy Curtis Couture in Portland, Maine. Coastal Jewelers in Kennebunkport lent me the STORE! They were so generous in allowing me to take anything I thought would compliment the gowns and models. They have some gorgeous pieces and are a great shop to peek into in the Port. Our models were the talented Lindsey Shields, Jen Paul and Rob Brooks. These three gave 110% ALL day! We started at 7 am and finished around 9 that evening. They were great! We had the uber cool team from All Seasons Day Spa in Kennebunk. Crystal and Tasha on hair and Jesse on make-up. Together they created several different looks throughout the day and were upbeat and fun to work with. Any Bride would be smart to hire the team at All Seasons Day Spa, they do about 70 wedding parties a season so call early at 207-967-1300. The owners of the Rhumb Line Restaurant provided food for the entire team that day and we were so appreciative, one of the shots we took of their great looking appetizer will be featured in La Bella Bride magazine! The flowers were done by Flora Fauna in North Yarmouth and were spectacular! Judy and her assistant were the first to start the day and one of the last to leave. The table arrangments, bouquets and boutineers were just gorgeous and we hope to work with them on a real wedding next season. The Retreat is in Stockton Springs, Maine and is the prettiest place I've ever seen. Jesse Brooks along with her friends and staff have the vision to make every event unforgettable! This was the first time we have directed this type of photo shoot and we plan to do another one in Kennebunkport in the Spring...it was so much fun and many of the images are being considered for various magazines. We will keep you posted.
