Emily and James are too sweet

Emily and James met us at the Welcome to Maine sign in Kittery and I instantly loved their chemistry. We had met earlier at Emily's best friend's wedding and I knew they were in love, but spending 2 hours photographing them I saw just how much in love they are! Emily's parents own a candy store in Kittery called Yummies and of course we had to stop there for a few photos. This place has every type of candy ever made it was a lot of fun..I can't wait to see the candy bar at their wedding! When Emily said she had a change of clothes "just in case" we had them get wet, I knew we would be having them roll around in the surf. Not many people would go in the Atlantic in October, but they were so excited about it and the images we got were amazing! I am looking forward to their June wedding in York.

White House Photos

Well, we were excited to get these photos in the mail from the White House photographer who was here in August with President Bush. They show how much fun Chris was having on the two hour bike ride through the woods of West Kennebunk! The President has invited us to Washington to visit the Oval Office this weekend and Chris will be biking with him on Saturday and Sunday along with Brandon Gillard who owns Cape Able Bike Shop here in Kennebunkport. We are so excited to be taking the family to DC and will be going to several of the museums and Mount Vernon. I am so lucky to have friends who know the area and have been helpful in the last minute planning!

Jennifer and Ryan post 2

These are a few of my favorites from our walk around Portsmouth. It was so great to photograph such a laid back couple who were willing to do anything we asked! When we found out Ryan is a musician we had him do his best air guitar and it was fantastic!

The Fountain

Chris and I met with Jennifer and Ryan on Saturday in downtown Portsmouth to do some engagement photos and boy did we have some fun. This is my first of 2 posts for this session. We will be traveling to Florida to photograph their wedding in February and we are so excited! I loved it when Jenn said she had extra clothes in the car because she had seen on this blog that we like to get people wet. Well we didn't want to disappoint so we had them jump in the fountain! These images have been manipulated with different photoshop actions for different effects.

Fort Williams Fun

We had a great time photographing Autumn and Chris at Fort Williams in Cape Elizabeth Wednesday afternoon. They had so much energy and we willing to hike, climb, run and break out some cool moves to get these great images. I love the last one where Chris kicks up his heels, I was wondering if he was psyched to be done with the shoot? I am excited to photograph their wedding next summer.

Liz and Rick engagement shoot

We went out to Goose Rocks Beach last month to photograph Liz and Rick who live in NYC and will be getting married in Maine next summer. Liz's parents have a home in Kennebunkport and they were engaged at Goose Rocks so we decided to photograph them there. There were many images I liked so it was hard to narrow it down to 4.

I love a fun family!

We recently photographed the Bychok Family on Ogunquit Beach and they were so much fun! I love that at the end of the shoot all three children were completely soaking wet and that Mom had a mean jump in her. It was one of those perfect fall nights and I am so happy we were able to capture their family. As the days get shorter and the nights cooler it is so nice to have the memories of those perfect sunset nights.

Jenn and Mike

We were so honored to be asked by Ron Gagnon of Lasting Memories Video to photograph his daughter's wedding. We have known Ron and his wife, Doris, for over 14 years as they videotaped our wedding in 1993. We have worked many an event with Ron and have enjoyed his company at the vendor table every single time. His family is so special and you could tell throughout the planning process how much he cares for his daughter and now son-in-law. They exchanged vows at St. Mary's in Wells and had their reception at the Sheraton in downtown Portsmouth last Saturday. You could not have asked for nicer weather and my favorite image of the day is Jenn riding in the limo with her parents chatting behind her. We wish them all the best and thank them for making us feel so special on the day of the event!

Post 2 of after the wedding session

We did do a few in the studio including using our pool table as a prop. Scrool down to see/read more.

After the wedding session with Jesse and Tasha

Jesse and Tasha were wed in upstate Maine in August and we decided to give these two some Southern Maine images to add to what they had taken on their wedding day. After the wedding sessions are so much fun because there is no time limit or any stress about keeping the dress clean. Some photographers have been offering "trash the dress" sessions where they completely wreck the gown and do some pretty strange things. We decided to take Tasha and Jesse on a walk through Kennebunkport. We stopped at Bandaloop and had Tasha climb up on the bar and we stopped at Carrots and Co and had them pose with the VW bug Amy has in her store. This is the first post of a few of my favs, more to come later. Jesse was an amazing jumper and I think he may have a future in gymnastics if he ever wanted to. Thank you to Tasha and Jesse for spending some time with us on Monday afternoon! I must also mention that Tasha has a wonderful hair salon next to our studio called Studio 41.
